You'll find that many motorkhana cars run zero caster.

I'm only just beginning to understand alignment needs for various situations - why do they run zero caster?

More stable reversing quickly perhaps? Caster makes forwards more stable but reverse less stable perhaps he wants to reverse @ high speeds for Motorkanas?

The more caster the more stable the front wheels are at speed however they will need more effort to turn them. Having 0 caster would allow the wheels to turn quicker with less effort.

Easier for reverse work (J-turns), I've been told. This could, of course, be tall stories by old men though :lol:

Like i said, I've only just finished mine but i'm sure it'll change as I go and learn/develop the car for the job

Correct. Positive caster on a vehicle is measured in the forward direction. Most vehicles travel faster in the forward direction. Travelling in reverse makes it negative castor.
