I have them on both my cars now and they work a treat and have had them on lots of cars in the past bought them from Minikingdom.

You could try Clark Rubber or Bunnings, they normally have a good range of rubber bungs.

I have these on all my Oz minis with wind-up windows.
The only thing different to your fitting in photos is that, on the door side, I reuse the spacer bar from the webbing (about 3/16 inch thick) between the door pocket panel and the new mounting plate.
I don't bolt the new stay plate straight onto the door bin panel (as in your photo) but space it away from the door using the old spacer.
This might give the stay arm a slightly better radius.

I can definitely see how turning the bracket by 180deg would change the angle of the rod away from the footwell so there’s obviously nothing wrong with the parts. Perhaps my door has been ‘repaired’ in the past. I’ll check the passenger side tomorrow and see if it’s the same. In the meantime I’ve just it the strap back on.
