That would be a heck of a lot of fun! Would all that fit in a matic?!
Would need disc brake conversion too I guess.

Thanks for the advice. The car sales one looks nice but is a bit pricey

Guy reckons oil has been changed regularly but he's only had it a few months.

Fair enough it's going the width of the country but didn't think not going forwards would double the cost. It still goes!

New plan - become the first person to reverse a mini all the way from WA to Syd.

Was that on a real Ship?

Yeh I've asked for some proper pics, not the downsized and low res crap carsales puts up.
Zoom in on a full res pic and you see all sorts of goodies (baddies)

He reckons the colour is willow green?
Looks more seamist to me. But i do like it. Spend ten grand on a car because you like the colour and the seats. Ha

Mini ks were "Willow Green" - I have a manual '69 one in Willow Green.
The upholstery is "Parchment" same as mine.
"Seamist green" has the almost identical paint formula to Willow green but the name changed between Deluxe and K models.

Love it thanks, some good trivia right there.

The body is actually pretty shot, paint peeling all over the place and pear-sized rust bubbling under the hinges and behind the wipers, gutters, sills. Few of the seals are gone too.

Looks great from a few metres away though!

Colour looks to be Tamarisk Green, same as this 1970 Mini K in the current 2016 MITG Calendar.

...and this is Willow Green, Also a 1970 K in the upcoming 2017 Minis in the Gong Calendar.

Which will be available for order very soon! ....shameless plug

I had a matic a while ago and enjoyed it enough.
Not that it was trouble free but it did go forwards

We had two growing up, did my driving test in one. Ours got along pretty well I seem to remember. We have one regular in Minis in the Gong (SteveOB) and it has absolutely no problem keeping up with everyone else. They had a bigger Carb as standard to make up for the some of the power loss from the auto box.

Great thing about the matic is you can manual shift thru all the gears.

One other option is an auto 1100, one here with a 1098 engine and one with a 1275...

1098 or 1275 auto both have a lot more torque than the poor 998 auto did. Will be smarter off the mark.
2nd matic I bought had a 1275 in with twin HS2 carbs, it went pretty well. For a matic.... ;)
Someone on here owned it after me.
