I think it's great that the car is reunited with its original motor.
Years ago I think drive in, drive out engine exchanges were pretty common so I guess a lot of cooper s's lost their original motors for an exchange unit. I doubt much thought was given as to whether the block was mk1 or 2, GT or even 1100s.

thanks guys, i`ve always been keen to help get original "S"`s back to original w/matching #s
a replica is a replica & should always be represented as such, but we all know there`s more replicas around than genuine ones (pretty-well)

but i have found 3x (so far) with no Numbers if this helps anyone?

& i`ve also found a MK2 "S" with "Graham" engine number :-) so if there`s any "Grahams" out there wanting a Matching engine number for their MK2 ? :-)

I`m still digging these blocks out of the dungeon so please be patient
the more i look the more i find
