PM sent,

My passport is similar to above.

Model: Morris Mini Minor std
Number: YMA/2S/3-2154
Engine No: 9YE/U/H-2100
Reg No: Not recorded
Key No. FS898
Owner: P.M.G. Department, Adelaide
Date Purchased: 1/5/68
Dealer details: Direct Sale
Passport part number: TP757d

Unsure if it's a correct Reg No but it does have ZEK062 written on the other page so it may have been a valid reg no. For gov/commonwealth vehicles? Standard plate of the era in SA had the alphanumeric plate beginning with R.

Looks like it only made it to 3000mikes as no services where recorded after this!

Cool. I thought that might have been the case!
3000miles is the last recorded service. When did PMG typically get rid of them? (I presuming it was a few years, not a few months).

The PMG might have done their own services. I imagine they would have had their own garages in big cities.

The first service and 3000mile services where done in Port Augusta (currently a 3.5hr trip).

Port Augusta was an important PMG city at that time.
The overland telephone cable ran from Port Augusta to Darwin and I imagine they would have had a lot of gear there.
