I believe that site was last updated/managed in 2010.

No Ty,
The one you want is the old style that is a lot narrower and is a straight through. Is approx. 4 inch wide by 2 inch high by 12 inch long.
Its just my opinion but always gave a great sound. Others may disagree.

Yeah Greg I remember the one. It looks like an RC40 externally doesn't it?

I did exhausts at a Carline franchise for five years after I finished school. I think your talking about the Lukey original 5in x 3in 14inch long. Either in 1 3/4 or 2inch pipe. Part number L-132 or L-131. Very cool old school sound.

That's good information. Ordered now. Thanks Ty and Scoop.

The L-131 (at the link) is the 2" or 51mm size, and the L-132 is the 1.75" or 44mm size.

Very interesting discussion.
The pictured image is from a later 'Rover' mini, which used rubber hangers - the only difference.

I do want that Cooper S 'rasp', rather than a muffled boomy type exhaust.

Thats right Mick. There is a longer one from memory thats L-121 and L-131 about 18 inch long. Used to put the 2inch one on old holden six's. If it growls its a Lukey.

Although, certainly not an RC40 as the thread topic states, the thread has evolved into a Lukey fest anyway

The Lukey L-132 rolled up today. I will need to have an exhaust tip bent up by the local exhaust pipe wranglers before I can fit it up.

Spot on Mick. You will have to tell us all your opinion on the note, whether its that old school sound everyone wants.

Looking forward to hearing your opinion. Is it possible to post a video or sound clip once installed that would be awesome... My mini sounds like a Prius with the muffler it's got at the mo.

I'll see if I can create a before and after audio loop.

Maybe one on the road, and one at idle.

Very interesting.
I have the basic extractors and a 1 1/4" on an 1100 and it has a great note!
I'm looking at an exhaust upgrade soon and everyone has said a 1 3/4" With a single RC40.

Would this setup give me the throatless tones you speak of!?
