Well done!!

That's very impressive indeed. I've always faith in the old SU.... :D 8)

Possible the mounting of some sort of external, larger fuel bowl?

I've got an HIF44 on my superchargered 1330cc, and often wonder, that if I worked the head, better cam, etc and made close to 100bhp atws, would the HIF bowl run dry?? Only one way to tell. :P hehe.

Good work, when thinking about great Aus/NZ motor builders, your name is right up there!

thanks slinkey,
as ytou can see at the bottom with the fuel spiking up and down towards the top of the run is when the bowl starteed to run dry and it was purley running on pump delivery (using a pump for a 2litre car helps 340lt per hour) I think using larger fuel lines and maybe a fuel bowl upfrom might be the way to do it other than getting a larger fuel bowl for the HIF carb.

I take a lot of my credit on my building knowledge form the people i know, kev GR, phil, keith, south africans like des, tommy, victor and everyday i love to learn something new and when i use something in my own cars and it works ill use it in everyone elses and if it doesnt and blows up i wont do that again.

Well Done Jai,

too many critics here and not enough encouragement, I know what it took when i built my current turbo motor, GR did the cam and head the rest was all my own building.

As for you pump fuel lines etc I am running a holden 5.0 V8 bosch pump with 5/16 lines supply and return, i have always wondered if the bowl was getting low or not with the pump can flow heaps more thna the engine can use i am sort of safe.

good work mate keep it up, cant wait ti read the spec. out of interest what CR is it?

Grant

I must actually check the compression ratio as im sure it was 10.8 but i know i did some head skimming just before on a few heads and i think i might have skimmed that head also.
thanks for the compliment.
Im knuckling down to write the story and a few of the specs for watto.
