Hi I am new to ausmini and this FOR SALE section, so I thought I would first read this - "For Sale" Forum Rules

The first rule says this - Only Mini related goods are to be posted in here.

Sorry, but the last time I checked Neon's were not mini related. Charade, Excel, Mirage or Starlet maybe, but not Mini.

This should be in General For Sale

Well then it was blatant harassment. The fact that they were singling your car out for attention, yet leaving other cars alone is being completely inconsistent.

I dont mean to cause any trouble and if you feel it's better you can just let sleeping dogs lie. I had a similar problem with one officer in particular who continued to bother me. On my own I wouldnt have done anything, but someone else mentioned they had been having trouble with the same officer. We both made written complaints about the officer, fully expecting that nothing would be done. We were notified within a week that if we were contacted by the officer at all, we were to notify the station immediately. Never heard from him again, either.

Maybe ya could get at least some confirmation on the legality of the RICE, maybe they'll just ignore it. But I dont see any reason why you shouldn't question their actions. (Only bad thing I see here, is the possibility of being sent a defect notice instead)

also i thought you people were growing up but well maybe i was mistaken tzi you need to let it go instead of carrying on like that you are a mod remember people will take offence like a new person will come in see what the mods are like towards other posters and think well is this really what i want to see ??
and that is also why other don't genral chat because of the shity that go's on me i dont care cos i just dont i got broad shoulders

most people dont come in and start saying how to run the place within their first 3 posts either ;)
quite honestly I dont care what he thinks. newbie or not.

If everyone comes in with the same attitude (which they dont) then they will get the same treatment. :?
Most people come here and are welcomed by assistance, information and helpfulness as they should be, but most people are also polite well mannered and asking for information, not telling people they have done the wrong thing.

he didnt even bother to read the entire post before he came in insulting people... c'mon gimme a break!

anyway... everyone is entitled to their opinion... you, me, mods, newbies.. we're all on the same level.

My shoulders are quite broad too. I am a mechanic and deal with all sorts of people. I also use a lot of forum boards based all over the world. They are great and the best way to learn new things or teach others the same.

I am sorry you can't take critisism. Some of the boards I post at are very efficient and well structured, and that is what I am used to.
I am also sorry you seem to have some hot headed members here. Once again I am not used to members accusing newbies of certain things, especially implying that I am a trouble maker. I reviewed my 7 posts and found one that may have been out of line. One out of seven!

I don't own a Mini, but work on quite a few in my workshop. I came here to pick up some tips on Australian built Mini's. Although the overseas boards are good (excellent actually) I thought joining an Australian Mini board would be better for picking up any differences with the Australian built Mini's. Even a mechanic of many years can learn something new.

I appologise to anyone who might have been offended when I pointed out something that doesn't sit within the rules posted here.

Yes, as a newbie I read the rules. I even put my location in my profile, as requested in the rules.

yup noticed that.
all I said was read the rest of the post. ;)

also.. what forums are you used to? the ones that are efficient and well structured?
I'd like to have a look at them to see whats missing here. Helpful ideas on how to make things better are always welcome. :P

btw... have you ever spent some time on the daihard forums? (daihatsu) http://bbs.daihard.org
