I can understand where ur coming from. Before i rebuilt my car the 2nd time, i was always critical of show cars. I always thought "wats the point of all that money and effort, if u cant use it"

But i think i just caught the bug, and once i started i couldnt do a half assed job. I had this expensive bodywork, so i had to follow it up by making every thing else on the car the same standard.

I can now appreciate full blown show cars, as i know 1st hand the effort/time/dedication/money and patientce that is needed to build one.

I'm glad you changed the wheels. The 'rostyles' looked crap.

Thats all i could afford at the time. They looked better than stock rims, so i just went with em. I always intended on getting mags. As most of you would know 17yo's dont exactly have a lot of money! Dont forget, that photo was taken back in 1998!

I reckon you can understand the effort but most show car owner's can't, only the burn in the pocket. At motorex the other year the had some fancy show cars and some of their owners. And it was interesting as many of them had little stickers on the back windows of various 'custom shops' which says to me "I paid for this besat, but I have no idea how they did it", which isn't a bad thing just not enarly as cool as being able to say, "I put in the time and money, and now look at it!" - as in your case.

Oh for sure, there is plenty of that these days! Especially in the RICE scene. But that was a big thing for me, i wanted to say that i did all the work myself.

But i didnt paint the car or do the bodywork, and i didnt do the powder coating either. But i did do every thing else.

I think u have much more respect for the vehicle if u did all the hard slog ur self. U will still respect a car that u havnt built, but thats cause it cost u an arm n a leg cause some shop down the road screwed it together and charged u the earth for it!!!

I think it all comes down to my standard of quality. If I do something, i want to be sure that ive done it to the highest standard of quality i can possibly do. It frustrates me when people try n take the easy way when buildin cars, they take a short cut here and there. But it stands out, and brings the entire car down. Whats wrong with doing the best you can possibly do?

If ur gunna do a job, do the best job u can do.

Obviously you're not very good at grammar and punctuation if that is your "best".

Jokes.. jokes...

English was always my strongest subject at school. But like most youth these days I've been caught up in the Txt craze, and the grammar that goes along with it. So unfortunately it has carried over into my online chatting.
