Spaceboy! Tell more....

I'm actaully interesting in (after I've done some 'mods') to do some drag strip stuff. Like for example an SA Ausmini Drag day or something. Dyno is great, but real proof is the track, plus I'd like to know what my car would do versus the 'official tests'.

Pg 185 'How to Modify Your Mini' by Vizard. Drag Champ Robin Tallis did 13.7. That would have been back in the 70s. So obviously really good times are possible but define 'possible' in terms of money, time and reliaibilty.

One other thing....
A guy I met mentioned that he was at a drag meet where 'QIK-850' set a FWD 1/4 record. This was supposedly when the car was supercharged. But I can't say if this is true or just loud mouthing.

Jokes aside, I'd take you up on that willy. If we could (later this year when I'm ready and Spaceboy's read) we should get together some sort of Ausmini + Hotbricks drag day out. DOn't know if that would be possible. If I want to know times I might have to an play with the ricers.... :(

Pretty close , it was .02 of a second off being the fastest FWD car in Australia with a 12.6ish (can't remember the rest of the hundredths of a seconds) towards the end of it's development , it had the bigger turbo at that stage . It started off turboed , then was supercharged with a sprintex supercharger and then a bigger turbo before being written off .
