I am just pulling your leg MrBob.. I have plenty of other things to do away from the computer.. One such thing is being a member of our local car club which does take up quite a lot of my time..

In fact we have a big weekend of hillclimbing this week. Sunday is Round 4 of the Victorian Hillclimb Championship so plenty to do the get the track ready..

Lucky Bastard.

I'd love to do a hillclimb - Engine is now sold from the General though so it'll be a while before I get to do anything like that

I'm surprised this is the only forum I know of which is not smashed by the I.T. guys. Must be some mini owners in high places. We're like the Masons!

I don't race MrBob as I found out many years ago that I lacked two things to be a good race driver...Money & Ability...

I am usually Chief Steward at most of our meetings or if the big boys from CAMS come down like they will be on Sunday, then I am relegated down to Assistant Steward. Or corner official or Starter or just plain Go-fer..

GAWD I for one sure am glad AusMini is back....

Honestly I didnt know what to do with myself..

I ended up being so depressed about things I had to go to the doctors and get back onto prozac again...

To be honest I dont think I would have made it though this nightmare and back again if it wasnt for the prozac, Doogie, Cody and the fact that I truly believed and prayed that AusMini would be back again.

Just goes to show that sometimes your prayers do get answered.

I was a real mess!!! I really was and this is serious. I got so dam depresed about it all I didnt even take Granny out for a drive nor have I spoken to her since AusMini has been down. This is really bad considering how much I love Granny and I know she loves me.

It was touch and go there for a little bit and I still dont beleive I would have made it to the light at the end of the tunnel if it wasn't Doogie and Cody being there for me on MSN all those lonely days and nights. As I really felt that I could'nt live without AusMini.. I even started thinking to myself. Perhaps I should create another Mini forum so I can get my fix. But because I was so dam depressed about everything and thinking that my life is over I could'nt even go outside of the house let alone think about setting up another forum. Besides I am nobody and I know that I could never replicate a place like AusMini.

Geez guys I seriously dont know what I would have done without you. I will always be greatful and will never forget you or the things you said to me for as long as I live.

As you know I was starting to become immune to the prozac.. But thats probably because I had been taking it for too many years in the past and my doctor did warn me that it may have little affect on me. But I had to take the chance.. I mean what I could I do? The only alternative was well we dont have to think or talk about that anymore.

So I started drinking again but that did'nt seem to help much either and in fact probably made me worse. I even started smoking again as I just could'nt handle the stress anymore. Which is not real good as I had given up smoking earlier this year. I was told I had to stop smoking by the doctors two years ago. When I was in hospital with my collapsed left lung.

Well I wont ramble on anymore and I am in my element again....

GAWD its so good to be back again...

No one really knows what this means to me....

Dam I think we need to have a party to celebrate!!! What do you all think?

Where did it go????

That is simple .... old server that Ausmini was hosted on Crashed and lost their backup (back to a few days before Poeee and I did a backup)

So Poeee took this opportunity to change servers which happened last friday night.

Since then Poeee and I have worked out a way to convert the 642Mb Text file (SQL file) into a GZIP file to upload directly into the database area of the server ..... but the problem was that the gzipped file was too big, then when it was below the required size I had to work around bandwidth use time - ie 5am when the forum was quietest.

Well there was other stuff but in a nutshell that was it...

So today it was up ........

Hope this explains a little
Cheers Gerard
