Hi, thats a plus as an older original lucas is far better made.
From that era I would be guessing its points !. That is a few years ago.
If thats the case its ripe for an electronic smart module and coil upgrade. We have found there are some modules that we call dumb (An electronic switch) and some we call smart that have electronics that allow dwell to remain the same as revs increase, which means better spark and with special coils you can have long duration spark that is another benefit again .This technology at an affordable price is very recent Cheers Lindsay Siebler
