Rat forever. Rust life. Ankor wax looks the business, veedubbers swear by it. Initial treatment might need a Polish and a light acid treatment. Don't hide the repairs that need ti be made. Brush them, fill or patch them then protect them. They are always more popular rugged than a polished princess ;)

If I'm carrying on like a pork-chop, I'm having a great time.

If I go very quiet there's a very good chance I broke something.

Awesome find, I love it. Basic clean and mechanical repairs for safe use. You can't restore originality!!

He clearly said he wants to maintain the look. Lots of people like cars that survive. often they are more popular than a 'pristine' car. I won't paint mine until I absolutely have to. The rust is treated and hasn't travelled yet, the surface rust literally wipes off. Keep it out of the weather it will be fine.

Ankor wax is your friend. Small repairs and don't hide them leave bare metal even.

There isn't much to be done i rekon its mint mate

Way too many shiney turds on the road. You will turn more heads and have more fun in a patina car then a trailer queen.

Message me if you want any spares. Also leave the bumper and seats to be honest. Have heaps of mk1 stuff here pay postage its yours
