Once again people thanks for the input.
Doug has picked the correct drawing. 1.8" between fixings.
I now know what they look like and also have a part #
Next question, does anyone have 4x HYA2289 for sale or a 3 D printer and knowledge.
Thanks
Glen

Interesting the drawing that Doug Shared is very different to what the single clip type that is available from minikingdom but they both share the same part number?

Yes Bubacluby, Noticed that. I wonder how many times that happened in the past.
Maybe there were revisions of parts but kept the same numbers.
I have some original BMC Parts books that have numbers crossed out and replacements
hand written in and a good spare parts man had them all in their head, not me

Found the below image in one of my BMC Accessories manuals.
It is possibly the belt tongue discussed here.
Strangely it doesn't appear in the Seatbelt section of the manual.

Mine had the Britax Lyfe Loc belts when I got it. Both sides had this simple hook bracket which was screwed to the B pillar with a self tapper screw. I believe my dad added these to the car in the mid 80’s - I’ll check with him when I see him next

Hi Timmy,
Those belts are the same as the ones in my 997. Thanks to all who contributed, I am now sorted.
I'm having half a dozen sets 3D printed to the original drawing that Doug supplied.
Regards,
Glen
