IMHO if you remap your ignition again to 15 degrees base timing with 32 total (I am assuming 1275 engine and 98) I feel you will gain more driveability than any air filter change .... just to change tack a bit cheers Lindsay Siebler

All ready done - and you are right the improvement in performance was outstanding. Admittedly there were two problems with the distributor before the work namely ill fitting rotor button and counterweight springs which were well beyond their use by date.

I should say, having read that article, my post above is for a suck-through supercharged setup. So Calver's comments about pulses from the a series induction will not apply to me. Ie you may need to dismiss my experience as it may not apply to you if yourself running NA.
