I got Ian's new Minispares road steel flywheel balanced at GR's yesterday. They are not factory balanced.
Although these flywheels are nicely machined all over, it was quite out of balance.
I suspect because the ring gear is attached with short MIG welds, which are not equal length or spaced equally.
I'd suggest people always check balance before fitting.
