 Post subject: Help to identify crank

Guys I have a crank here. It's a small bore crank that's been modified and the casting number ends in 76. The other numbers are missing as it's been wedged. I don't have anything to do with small bore stuff. Can anyone help? Thanks G

Only one in my list ending in a 6 is BHM1436. Which is an A+ 998 crank, 1985 on.
Based on the 12A1451 forging or casting.

No mate definitely not one of those. The casting mark ends in a 76 and is very clear. the actual part number is ground away as part of the wedging. Nice bit of kit either way, would just love to know what its made of.

ha ... more digging and i reckon its a -
12A375 997 Cooper with oil feed hole for primary gear,stamped 12A375 or 12A376 on a 12A298 forging with a 1.375" tail

you're gonna have to measure the stroke of it... distance from the outside of a big end to the outside of a main minus half the big end and half the main

Maybe this one with the last digit stamped upside down. You know BMC workers they did not give a poo poo when it came to stamping numbers.

No its definitely the 997 crank. Its the early kind and it has been modified which is why the numbers are partly missing. Thanks for your help guys.
