IMO they should have put the valves at the front hoses, as air rises. As the Morris 1100 had.

If they had, the workshop mechanics would have had fewer excuses for reversing over the pumps.

Sounds easy enough :-), any advise on how to tell if all air is out of system, any tell tale signs?
Cheers,
Steve

I don't do it all that often, but I think you can hear the air as you press on the front of the car and the fluid moves from front to back.

If I have my doubts I just drain and refill. My unit only takes 20 pumps from empty to full.

When I was trying to remove the air I would let it down with an air chuck and a hose into a jar, when it stops blowing bubbles as you let it down you know all the air is out of the system.
It usually took about 4 to 6 goes at filling it till I was happy.

That's just ingenious Doc. Lucky I don't live 5 minutes from Minisport. It would be like buying handbags and shoes with the missus.

Then you could use the clutch master cylinder as a hydro pump and you could sit in the drivers seat while you pumped it up.
