with the glass, when the trim is removed there are two bolts i think that attaches the pillar whcih holds the quarter light glass to the door skin. Simply undo the bolts, tilt the quater light glass and pull it out of the frame. With the window glass simply pull it out of its groove......

does that make sense?

yup, undo the three screws on the outside of the door frame holding the quarterglass. Undo the two bolts holding the front channel for the sliding glass and pull the entire frame out. removing the sliding glass should be relatively easy then

re: chrome strips

If it is the chrome that goes up and around the top of the door, this is very hard to remove. You need to progressivley slip one edge off, working your way from one end to the other. I used an aluminium dolly to lightly tap it off. Make sure you remove the joining piece first, because the chrome strip is in 2 pieces.

If it's the chrome that runs along the top of the door, but below the window, this can be removed with a flat blade screwdirver. It is pressed on and held in place with clips.

Tony.
