Hi,

I'm after advice.
I have a three gauge Clubman instrument cluster with rev counter (orange needle) in reasonable condition, cosmetically good but only know it was working when removed from crashed car over twenty years ago. One instrument glass missing and some repairs to the circuit board tracks from the voltage stabiliser. Some clips missing but replaced by hot glue.
The matching front and rear wiring loom in good condition.
Alternator and remote regulator from same car. 1972

I have no use for them and would like to sell, but do I keep them as a matching set or sell individually.
Thanks Stewart

With a remote regulator I'm guessing the alternator is a Lucas 15AC and the regulator either a 8TR or 4TR, is that right? If so the pair are desirable for those doing a sympathetic restoration of a MK II Cooper S or Clubman GT.

New circuit boards for two and three gauge clusters are readily available so if the gauges themselves are OK they are reusable.

A 72 Clubman is likely to have a 15ac with the ext reg.

I’m interested in the regulator if it’s an 8TR please. Only if you decide to split it up

The 6gc is a dynamo control box so is not suitable for the 15ac unless it has been changed internally and is certainly not a "pair" for the alternator.

Thanks steam for pointing that out, saved me inadvertently selling an incorrect item.
I took the cover off and it looks standard.
There may be a correct one hiding somewhere in the shed.
That means I have an alternator for sale.
