Hi All, drop test as per the official instructions states damper to be fitted and should be 5-7 seconds, yet all the YouTube videos show the test without damper.
What is the consensus here?

SU manual states damper fitted and transfer holes blocked off.

Yep damper should be fitted and plug holes in the bottom of piston.
1 1/4" = 3-5 seconds
1 1/2" = 5-7 seconds

Here is an SU manual if needed. Page 19-20 https://tecb.eu/onewebmedia/Tuning_SU_Carbs.pdf
