Does anyone know if any Australian Cars were fitted with chrome plated brightwork (NOT stainless steel) grill, bumpers, overiders, hockey sticks. If so when did Australia change over to Stainless steel. Somehow I always thought that Chrome was used on early Coopers 997/998

Parts manual lists the MK1 Cooper S bumpers as stainless and the others as chrome

Headlight rims went to stainless on all models in mid 1969.
