Then there's the DG,DC (N.. I think), DF ranges used on a lot of Fiats/Fords etc. They're different from the DCOE/IDA series in that they have a low speed choke with a second choke that comes in as revs rise.
IME the art in Weber tuning is getting the transition from low to high speed operation smooth and gradual (look to the emulsion tube).
You need to take it to someone who knows what they're doing (seems strange that GR hasn't solved your problem). There's a guy in Canberra that I'm sure could solve it but the shops I used to deal with in Sydney are now long gone...
