There are a whole bunch of upright Webers... IIRC GR was offering IDFs with one of his setups some time ago (although I think these were mainly used on VW/Porsches etc...).

Then there's the DG,DC (N.. I think), DF ranges used on a lot of Fiats/Fords etc. They're different from the DCOE/IDA series in that they have a low speed choke with a second choke that comes in as revs rise.

IME the art in Weber tuning is getting the transition from low to high speed operation smooth and gradual (look to the emulsion tube).

You need to take it to someone who knows what they're doing (seems strange that GR hasn't solved your problem). There's a guy in Canberra that I'm sure could solve it but the shops I used to deal with in Sydney are now long gone...

Hey guys

Just want to give an update, looks like the cause to the problem may be a brake booster that has been fitted to the car since before i had it which may have a hole in it (Still going to confirm this). i had a suspicion the booster may have been the cause all along but thought i had fixed it.

I just want to also say a big thanks to Graham Russell as reading back i don't think I've given him enough credit for all that he has done, He spent a fair bit of time trying to source the root of the problem and tried to tune out the issue but unfortunately time just hasn't been on our side on both attempts at fixing the issue. But i do appreciate the effort and help from a man with a wealth of knowledge that is considered a Legend in the mini community.

Thanks for the update. Its always good to add knowledge to the mini data base

If you booster is a vh44 check out my how to on vh44 boosters. They have caused me hours of pain

Pretty easy to diagnose a brake booster failure. I'm suprised that it was not picked up earlier.

Just get rid of it, and smash your foot down if/when you need to, same effect, plus gives you all that space back.
