“16/5” threw me off as well , there’s no way it was built in 1916 lol

It’s 9000 series , so I guess it’s safe to say it’s built in 1974 , I’ll have to get my registration update to correct year

Approximate...
8900 = 5/74/21
9200 = 5/74/22
9600 = 7/74/27
9900 = 7/74/29

Here’s the plate

Holy misprint, hey 'gtogreen1969' take a look at this!

Where the 16/5 is stamped it is supposed to have a date like 5/75 meaning May 1975. The 1974 cars used a code like 11/74/47 meaning the car was made in November 1974 in the 47th week of the year. This plate is unique!
The ADR numbers point to it being a 74 car.

If the blanked out numbers have 4 digits it will probably be between April and August, if it had five digits it will probably be between August and November.

She is a cracker alright. At least the 1100cc is correct for a mid 74.

They are the Australian Design Rules numbers - https://www.infrastructure.gov.au/vehic ... _adrs.aspx

The plate they are stamped on is the ADR Compliance plate.
