Hi,

Trying to decide what colour to paint my 63 850 and looking for something with a bit more depth to it than the original Saxon green. I've tried a few samples and also been looking at pics on line. I came across this car - a light green / white roof Mk1 that looks terrific. Mine won't look as nice as this though as I don't have the flares or the mags. Do have brand new hub caps though. :D Was also thinking of green roof and not white but after seeing this, I'm not sure now.

It's registered in NSW with the rego MNI-064. Thought it might be a member's car and they could tell me what paint colour it is and possibly the paint code.

Thanks, Rocky

Have you looked through this post on here?

The colours are always difficult to judge on a screen from an old colour chart, but might give a clue.
My K is Willow Green which looks like army khaki to me but I've gotten used to it. When I resprayed it, I painted the turret a very very pale green to match the body colour, just picked from the paint supplier's colour cards.
For consideration check Tamarisk Green and Malmo Green.

This was my car maybe about 7 years ago, not sure who owns it now.
It was restored by an ausmini member and painted in Ceramic Green.

Thanks Danny. That was a nice looking car mate. The extra pics are good too.

I'll get a sample of Ceramic green and see how it looks in real life sprayed out against a few others I've got.

Cheers, Rocky

Good stuff Danny. The build thread made for interesting reading. I'm not the only one who liked the colour - lots of comments about it.
