A while ago I replaced the worn out indicator stalk with a new one. After installing it (also installed the front LED bulbs at the same time), the blinkers worked once, then not again. So as I hadn't replaced the flasher cam, I bought a new one. It didn't work at all so took it back and got a different one. This time it worked! Great I thought, all problems solved and have wonderful, reliable blinkers. Then after fiddling around under the bonnet after painting and under the dash putting everything back in place, the indicators started playing up again. First the bulb at the end of the stalked wasn't flashing, but the blinkers were still working, then sometimes the blinkers didn't work at all, sometimes just one side, sometimes both and the stalk. So spent 3 hours today trying to trace the problem. Checked the flasher cam properly (should have done that in the beginning) and it worked fine (and I'm sure all the others I replaced were fine too!). Then traced the wiring through to the RH bulbs as the left hand ones had started working! Continuity all OK from the bulbs to the plug under the dash were it connects into the indicator stalk harness. So some more fiddling around and checking continuity from the stalk to the plug ends of the harness. AHHA! the main power feed (green with yellow tracer) had no continuity - but wait, yes it has, no it doesn't etc. Anyway realising that was the problem, I chopped off the end of the bullet connector and rechecked - all good at last.
Well no, it wasn't. Hooked everything back up and bugger me, the left hand was now working, but not the right! To cut a long story short, every single bullet connector on the brand new indicator stalk must not have had the wire stripped before being crimped! If this was someones idea of a joke, don't ever let me near them! I can only think it was NOS from the '70s. Anyway just glad I finally got it sorted, and hopefully no else has this problem.

Three of the connectors (the first one went flying while I was trying to control my rage- probably landed in the neighbours pool!).
