Does the outrigger have a direction it needs to be installed? Is there any movement side to side it has to deal with?

They are parallel rollers so will go either way around.

Be aware that the bore of the outer ring changed some years ago. So if replacing the bearing, fit the new outer ring too. Don't leave the old one in like us old blokes often used to.
