Has anyone fitted these rockers and found the spacers to have a fair amount of side clearance. MED said that this isn't a problem after I enquired about a shim kit to remove this excess side play

Depends how much...
I would sooner have some side play than have them tight. I fitted a set of Minisport UK ones a while back for someone and had to machine
2 of the 3 spacers shorter to stop them jamming.

A shim would be good but shaft in these is 17.0mm. an odd size.

I might just turn up some new spacers to fix it

I had to mix and match the mini sport spacers to even out the tolerance between rockers. I think 1 or two of the spacers were a little longer than the others.
