Hey everyone, I hope you can help me out!
I have a Jap import 1997 Rover Mini Spi. Now I am having idle issues, if I turn the lights on (or anything for that matter), put a bit of load on the motor, my idle drops dramatically and begins to hunt. It does it occasionally at traffic lights etc too without any accessories on too.
So far I have changed the plugs to BPR6ES, reset the stepper motor (its clicking perfectly), replaced the battery and checked the voltages coming out of the alternator and at the battery (all above 14v while running with everything on)

I forgot to say - I've looked at the vacuum hoses running from the fuel trap. One runs into the bottom of the ecu (looks good), where does the other one run to? I can't get a good look in there

Thanks, I've replaced both vacuum lines...hopefully this solves it. Could it be a MAP sensor if not?

Okay, the problem still persists. Any advice?

Is it sucking any un-metered air from anywhere else on the intake side?

Not that I can tell. It has a JC30 ITG aftermarket air filter with the sensor mounted in there, it's pretty well sealed.
The other vacuum line that runs off the manifold it sealed off too

Thanks for the replies guys. There's no way to check that without pulling the whole thing apart and replacing it?

Have you had any further luck with idle issues? Have similar problems ith mine not quite as dramatic drop in revs as yours. I have downloaded MEMS diag app to phone and made a usb connection to link to ecu. This let me increase idle so when load put on it doesn't rop below say 650rpm? But cant figure out why idle effected by electricals? Have you changed both vacuum lines? I havent tried this yet
