Dave Potter, a former BMC dealer in Adelaide and long time campaigner of BMC vehicles including his Cooper S, passed away Saturday 5 November 2016.

For those who may wish to refresh their memory an article "Potters Pride" appeared in BMC Experience Issue 9, page 92.

Always a sad day when a member of the community passes. It will also be a sad day for my mini seeing as that was her original home.

His BMC dealership was on ANZAC Highway opposite Keswick Barracks, later he moved to Brighton Rd where he became a Honda dealer after Leyland Australia closed down. He and the late John Taylor (of Taylors of Medindie, another Adelaide BMC dealership) were two of the local Mini rallying stalwarts in the late 1960s.

we purchased a new hi ho silver ls mini from dave potter motors on brighton road in about
1977 or 1978, they were also mazda dealers at that time from memory. Dave was a
nice person to deal with so we continued business with him for some time.
