Post subject:  Gearbox Casing Number Identification

I'll pay my respects to The Mini Cooper Register, in particular Mini4Ever as this is where this list is sourced from.
This is a list of Gearbox Identifications, as its a question that comes up on here from time to time.

Mini Mk I
22A104: Cone synchro magic wand rubber joint
22A363: Cone synchro magic wand rubber joint
22G68: A type (22A381 laygear) or B type (22G231 laygear)magic wand rubber joint (*) (1)
22G382: B type (22G231 laygear) magic wand rubber joint (*)

Cooper Mk I
22G68: A type (22G76 or 22G197 laygear for 997 and 22G204 laygear) or B type (22G232 laygear for 998) remote rubber joint (*) (2)

Cooper S Mk I
22G190: A type (22G204 laygear) or B type (22G232 laygear) remote on 970/1071 rubber joint (*) (3)
22G333: B type (22G232 laygear) remote on 970/1275 rubber joint or Hardy Spicer(*) (4)

Mini Mk II
22A1288: 3-synchro B-type (22G231 laygear) magic wand rubber joint
22G1128: 4-synchro (22G927 laygear) remote rubber joint (*)
22G846: 4-synchro, as for 22G1128 Mini K and 1098 Clubman

Cooper Mk II
22A1228: 3-synchro B-type (22G232 laygear) remote rubber joint (see below, casing number should be 22A1288)
22G1128: 4-synchro (22G927 laygear) remote rubber joint

Cooper S Mk II
22A1522: 3-synchro (22G232 laygear) remote Hardy Spicer (*)
22G1128: 4-synchro (22G1040 laygear) remote Hardy Spicer (*)

Cooper S Mk III
22G1128: 4-synchro (22G1040 laygear) remote Hardy Spicer

Remarks:
1) There exit casings with and without two round moldings on the fins at the front side and I was only able to confirm for B-type (22G231 laygear)
2) I was only able to confirm 22G232 laygear for 998
3) I was only able to confirm 22G232 laygear for 970
4) Difference between the engine sizes is that the 22G333 for 970 misses the notch cut out at the radiator - front corner. Hardy Spicer only on 1275 of postMay 66.
5) 22G232 laygear has been renumbered to 22G1100

Thanks Mick.

Which of those were used on Australian built cars?

I'm no gearbox aficionado, the only ones I have dealt with are the
22G68, (Early Cooper)
22G333, (Mk1 Cooper S)
22G1128, and (2 Mk2 Coopers and a couple of Mini K's)
22A1288. (A Deluxe I owned I think?)
