They do need to be braced. There isn't a lot holding the little damper mounts plates at the front to the crossmember, and even less at the back

Cheers, Do you know of anyone in Aus that's used that product? They are reasonably priced at $135 a pair delivered.

sorry, no... but I've seen lots of different varieties of the same thing, and people making their own out of thick walled pipe etc.
