Gee, talk about the rumour mill!!

What has Tricky been doing in the last week or so............
1. Spent 4 days down at Iluka camping with the family, got back Monday night. Had a great time by the beach with the wife and kids :D
2. Quickly knocked up a new MkIII subframe for El Gato (after I donated my original to a client)
3. Bogged the front spoiler, ready for sanding to the final shape 8)
4. Spent a lot of hours designing Sam's 4G92 subframe for his Morris. Fabrication is now ready to begin. :D
5. Missed milestone to drop the body off to the spray painters (had to slow down, had bits falling off my ass) but then again, didnt get a real good reaction from him anyway. :x Should have the shell ready to go to him on Monday/Tuesday.

Just as a forewarning and not meaning to put the mocka on myself, but I dont think the spray painter is going to commit to the project, and have the same sense of urgency, like me (and most likely most of you). We will just have to manage this as best we can.

What secret project....................???

Cheers,
Tricky

You drove past my parents place (Woombah) and always looking for an excuse to take the little dude to see nanna and pop (plus talk mini's with whoever's about ...) . Woody's not bad , 10 mile beach is good if you have 4wd too . Go a little further (an hour or so) south to red Rock next time too , you'll love it .

Yep, lets hope so!!

Anyway, quick update. Havent been idle.........

I was ready to start doing the subframe for Sam (front engined 4G92 Mitsu into the Morris), until the powers that be intervened and Sam changed his mind to doing a mid mount RWD. So, I have been busy spending a few hours designing the rear subframe/engine cradle/ROPS for the Morris - it should be good!

Have spent some time on The Cat though - almost ready to send the subframe (New MkIII) of to the powdercoaters and the shell off to the panel beaters  (pray for me!)

Subrame finished:

You can see the lower link bar easily in this pic which support the FMIC:

Had to alter the brake and clutch pedals to make sure they clear the Starlet steering column (used this because it was collapsible):

More stuff to do, but ulitmately nearly there.

Cheers,
Tricky

It is moving along nicely Tricky. That subframe looks nice. I hope you strike a good panel beater.
