For those needing to work out if you need your speedo recalibrated:

http://www.tyremaster.com.au/fitment_tips/diam_calc.htm

Just divide the donor car rolling diameter by your new rolling diameter & multiply by 100 to get the percentage change.

For example:

Subaru 195 / 65 R 15 = 1993mm
now 185 / 65 R 14 = 1873mm

100 x 1993 / 1873 = 106.4

so my speedo will read 6.4% higher.

This is just an example, as I don't know what rims were on the original

ok see if i got this right

mine now is 175/50/13 = 1587mm
starlet is 185/60/14?? = 1815mm

so i get 114,36

so 14% out?
