Hi don't know if this is the right section for this
I recently purchased a hydrolastic pump it works but leaks a bit from the pump seals and the vacuum side is missing the fitting off the end and gauge isn't working
can parts be sourced for these? as I'd like to restore it/tidy it up
any help would be great even what colour it should be
thanks

the guage can be repaired usually, the 'end' you refer to I asume is the hose end?, just an old tyre valve chuck. Our 'original' one was sort of light green hammer tone.

I've never actually had one apart but if BMC is associated with it, it won't be too tricky, more than likely rusty in bore/ram. Rip it apart and have a look, probably o rings or similar.

First, the good news. :D Below is a BMC Technical Bulletin that might help you understand how the pump works.

Now, the bad news. :( The repair kits are no longer available.

But some more good news. :D As stated, Morris 1100 on here has refurbished these so could help you locate the component parts.

Also, I can give you the name of someone else who has overhauled several so may also be of help. Just PM me.

Getting to the finishing stages of the rebuild of this pump. I got some seals made up for the pressure side(the left side)they couldn't make them to the original ones, they used poly bush however it still leaks a bit
So my question is has anyone got some make up that work? If so where from any help would be great
Thanks Mitch

PM 850man and Morris 1100 on here as they have both refurbished these pumps. 850man also sells repro instruction plates that screw to the top.
